Farmers Market- Summer List

Whitney and Mia had a sleepover Friday night, one because she was a hunters widow and two because we decided we wanted cross off yet another summer activity before time was up. So off we headed to the Salt Lake Farmers Market! I wasn't sure what to expect but once we got there I was in love with it all as you will be able to see in our photos.

The ladies trying Hummus. Jenna and her hummus.

And me trying the raw pure honey. It's amazing and I'm sold on it.

Lets just get one thing straight. I hate chocolate. So when we walked up to the Chocolate Conspiracy I had no intentions of even trying it. Then everyone was raving about it and they mentioned it had coconut so I was sold on giving it a try. Sure glad I did cause it was AMAZING! I'm not saying I could eat any more that a sample of it but boy was that sample to die for. And guess what it's vegan. Cool.

Plenty of entertainment as you shop the markets.

Whitney sampling. Yes we did a lot of this while at the farmers market, we had to try everything we were on a tight budget.

Mia Loved the Watermelon.....

......As did we.

Golden raspberries... tried them for the first time at the farmers market and was instantly in love with them. Don't let the color deceive or scare you, they are well worth it.

Bottom left corner of this photo you will notice a white tub. It is honey coconut butter as stated on the label, I could eat this stuff by the tub full. So dang delicious! If I had one reason to go back it would be to load up on that stuff for the winter until next farmers market

We loved the downtown farmers market!

And finally one last photo, a group shot of all us girls on our girls day, summer list, farmers market adventure!

Girls Day- Blue Lemon

Our girls day lead us to blue lemon for lunch! I've been once before and I loved it then so I figured I'd love it again. And Yes I loved it. The atmosphere is really fun, relaxed, hip and reminds me of what of something you'd see in New York maybe.

I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad and as you can tell I was super excited to dig in!

My Salad came in a bowl, so hipster. But what I really loved was that I had lots of greens in my salad as opposed to some Oriental salads which sometimes overload on cabbage and wontons

Whitney got her usual Raspberry Chicken Salad which was huge although the picture does not lead you to believe so! But it looked amazing! She also got a side Butternut squash soup, which she let me try and it was quite tasty.

Sometimes Whitney and I take really great pics and other times we don't. This is one of those times that it was really great. Hey whit, cute shirt:) But seriously Blue Lemon was a nice touch to our girls day and so refreshing! The rest of our girls day will be coming at ya on wednesday. Until then check out our rad giveway!

Hunter's Widow

As of yesterday at about noon I officially became a "Hunter's Widow". If your husband is a hunter you know what I am talking about. As soon as hunting season starts, all of a sudden hubby is no where to be seen. Yep, off to campingville he went. We usually go every year and I go camping with him for a week. This year he is going to be gone EXTRA long because he drew out for a special/once in a lifetime {BIG daddy} Bull Elk tag. Love you Hubby, but there is NO WAY I am camping for 3 1/2 weeks. I love to camp and I usually like to go out hiking with him but talking Mia out hiking is out of the question. She would scare all the Elk away!   I will be meeting up with him next week though. In the meanwhile I have to find ways to spend my days & nights as a hunters widow.

While he is gone I will:

Not be doing alot of cooking but probably eating a lot of Tomato sandwiches. It's hard cook for just me & a baby

Shopping, shopping, shopping. Found these shoes yesterday for only 14.99. LOVE
DIYing. I have a few crafts up my sleeve.

Watching Lifetime movies. Who doesn't love a good cheesy, sleazy, crazy Liftetime movie?

And on my list to do:
Pedicure
Craft Night
Farmers Market

I've got to keep busy so I don't think about how much I miss the hubby! Is anyone else a hunter's widow? How do you pass the time while your hubby is away hunting?

XOXO,
Whitney

My face went red

First let me define two terms for everyone.
date/dating- you go on several dates but are not boyfriend or girlfriend nor are you exclusive.
Relationship- you are exclusively dating one person, and are boyfriend or girlfriend with that one person.

This is what my I looked like, but with better hair, obviously.

This is what I wanted to do.

Now onto the story. I used to date this one kid. We "dated" (refer to definition above) for probably about, I'd say 7 months. We are not dating anymore. Lucky me I ran into him, and when I say ran into I mean I had to be in the same building with him for an hour. We didn't have any nasty breakup because we weren't ever official but we just suddenly stopped talking. I'm completely fine with it and don't really care.... The only problem with a run in is that I tend to go bright red anytime I am in situations like these as well as many others. The problem I have with turning red is that it comes across as embarrassed, and even if I am.. I don't want people to know that. I mean who would! I just would rather not see people. sorry, not sorry.
Anyways when I ran into him yesterday, yep you guessed it I went bright red. I had been thinking about it all day and I thought I'd be so nervous that I'd for sure go red in he face. Which therefore gave me more anxiety because blushing would make him think I sill care, and I don't. Well the anxiety built and like I said I turned red. Well awesome nicole way to play hard to get and the I don't care card. He had to have known how awkward and uncomfortable I felt by just looking at me even though I was in fact talking quite cool and calm to him. So in the end my dang face let me down. No matter what I do I just turn red and blush so easily.
How do I make it stop, Anyone? Does anyone else ever turn red? How do you make it stop? I mean I did consider standing out in he sun and giving my face a sunburn to be red, but I decided against it. So how do I stop this problem. I mean for goodness sake I then saw his dad this morning... and there isn't any reason to wonder what happened then, of course I turned red! What is the secret! Because I need it quick.

What is a girl to do?

What is a girl to do with her day off you ask? Well I probably would do this.....

Have an Audrey Hepburn movie marathon.

I'm in the middle of this right now. My day is being well spent catching up on some well needed personal time with my favorite Audrey Hepburn. Can you blame me? She is gorgeous, has amazing style, and is oh so classy. I'm taking notes on how to be a little bit more of all those things. In my opinion this is so far a day will spent and will continue to be. My favorite movie is Funny Face, if you haven't seen it, you need to. "What you call funny, I call beauty"

Stay Classy,

nicole
