It's October.
And I woke up to a winter wonderland this morning...
Mia wanted to immediately put her boots and coat on and go play in the snow. Daddy took her outside for little bit. She didn't last very long before she wanted to come back inside...but she loved stomping in the snow and picking it up in her hands. (I did put gloves on her!)
Brrrr. It is so cold outside. Today definitely calls for some warm homemade soup and bread. I'll definitely be making my dad's yummy recipe of Butternut Squash soup for dinner tonight. What I look forward to all year long. MMMMMMM
And I made a batch of these super moist pumpkin chocolate chip cookies yesterday.
I love this time of year.

We live in Utah too and got pretty dumped on! I was actually pretty stoked. haha I turned on the Christmas music and everything! This time of year is probably the best...and those pumpkin chocolate chip cookies look so good!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE butternut squash soup. Mmmmmm... I'm stealing that recipe :D
ReplyDeleteLooks so yummy.
ReplyDeleteOh wow snow already! That's crazy (but really, really beautiful at the same time)! I would crave butternut squash soup and cookies too. Actually, I am now.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Love the pics. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's one thing I don't love about Trinidad...it never snows. I have always said that one year I'd like to spend Christmas some place that snows. It would be so different to everything that I am accustomed too, which makes it that more exciting. :)
