We danced together in Jr. High and were on Drill Team in High school...we go wayyy back! This girl has always had a great sense of style and is here to share that with you today. Show her some love!!

Hey guys! My name is Mallory from A Girls Kind Of therapy. I am so excited that I get to be a guest on this wonderful blog. I am sure you guys already know how amazing this blog is, it is definitely one of my daily reads because it seriously has a piece of everything from fashion, cooking, crafts, and just their fun lives! I have known Whit since Jr. High and she is seriously the sweetest girl ever! I am so blessed to know her!
Anyways, one of my favorite pieces in my closet this summer has been my maxi shirts. I am convinced that there is no comfier piece of clothing then a maxi skirt. However, I feel like they have became really trendy this summer with pairing a bright top, sandals, and of course those flashy accessories. But, I am here to tell you to not pack them away with those summer clothes! Keep them around for the fall by pairing them with a warmer, darker top. You can even finish it off with a blazer, boots or flats
This is a piece that I don't think I can part with for any season.

Farmers Market- Summer List

Whitney and Mia had a sleepover Friday night, one because she was a hunters widow and two because we decided we wanted cross off yet another summer activity before time was up. So off we headed to the Salt Lake Farmers Market! I wasn't sure what to expect but once we got there I was in love with it all as you will be able to see in our photos.

The ladies trying Hummus. Jenna and her hummus.

And me trying the raw pure honey. It's amazing and I'm sold on it.

Lets just get one thing straight. I hate chocolate. So when we walked up to the Chocolate Conspiracy I had no intentions of even trying it. Then everyone was raving about it and they mentioned it had coconut so I was sold on giving it a try. Sure glad I did cause it was AMAZING! I'm not saying I could eat any more that a sample of it but boy was that sample to die for. And guess what it's vegan. Cool.

Plenty of entertainment as you shop the markets.

Whitney sampling. Yes we did a lot of this while at the farmers market, we had to try everything we were on a tight budget.

Mia Loved the Watermelon.....

......As did we.

Golden raspberries... tried them for the first time at the farmers market and was instantly in love with them. Don't let the color deceive or scare you, they are well worth it.

Bottom left corner of this photo you will notice a white tub. It is honey coconut butter as stated on the label, I could eat this stuff by the tub full. So dang delicious! If I had one reason to go back it would be to load up on that stuff for the winter until next farmers market

We loved the downtown farmers market!

And finally one last photo, a group shot of all us girls on our girls day, summer list, farmers market adventure!

Of Thoughts & Things {Guest Post}

Hey everyone! Don't forget to enter our giveaway going on now! Since I am technically out of town in the wild wilderness I thought I would have one of my newest blog friends fill in for me. I "met" Ashley a few weeks ago and am so glad that we have become blog friends! She is one hilarious gal. Here she is:

*********************************************************************************

Hello there! My name is Ashley Kelly, and I blog over at Of Thoughts and Things. I'm super excited to be here at Whitney and Nicole's blog today!

And yes... that is an In-And-Out milkshake. And yes... it's chocolate.

Today, I'm just here to introduce myself.
It's a sort of get-to-know-you post.

So....... here are 10 things about me!

1. I'm married to a ginger.
And I love him very very very much.
You could say that he's Charles Bingley and I'm Jane Bennett.
Only he's way cooler than Mr. Bingley.

2. Going skydiving is at the very top of my bucket list. And I'll be going next summer!
Hopefully I don't chicken out at the last minute.

3. My highest score in bowling is 178. Here's the proof.

4. My hubby and I intend to win the "best costume" contest in our apartment complex this year.
You guys will have to stop by my blog around Halloween time and see what we come up with.
One thing I know for sure... it's gonna be good! And homemade.

5. I am a theatre junkie.
I was in 10 productions at my high school alone!

6. I attend the best college ever. Well... according to my personal opinion.
Go BYU!

7. Ice cream is my weakness.
Four different flavors at a party... I just had to have some of each!

8. I still haven't figured out a fashion style that truly suits me.

9. My friends and I made hot Kool Aid a while back, just like in this video.
It was actually pretty good, and it did this to our tongues.

10. Don't judge me... but I've seen every episode of Hannah Montana.
Every. Single. One.
In my defense... I have a sister who's 12 years younger than me, and she loves Disney Channel.

Those are my 10 facts!
Thanks again to Whitney and Nicole for having me today!
Don't forget to drop by my blog and say hello!

Girls Day- Blue Lemon

Our girls day lead us to blue lemon for lunch! I've been once before and I loved it then so I figured I'd love it again. And Yes I loved it. The atmosphere is really fun, relaxed, hip and reminds me of what of something you'd see in New York maybe.

I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad and as you can tell I was super excited to dig in!

My Salad came in a bowl, so hipster. But what I really loved was that I had lots of greens in my salad as opposed to some Oriental salads which sometimes overload on cabbage and wontons

Whitney got her usual Raspberry Chicken Salad which was huge although the picture does not lead you to believe so! But it looked amazing! She also got a side Butternut squash soup, which she let me try and it was quite tasty.

Sometimes Whitney and I take really great pics and other times we don't. This is one of those times that it was really great. Hey whit, cute shirt:) But seriously Blue Lemon was a nice touch to our girls day and so refreshing! The rest of our girls day will be coming at ya on wednesday. Until then check out our rad giveway!

Halloween Craft? + {A CraftyWood Cutout Giveaway}

Remember how I said I was going to be a Hunter's widow for a few weeks? Since I was going to be hubby-less for a litle while I was trying to think of ways to keep myself busy. Of course I had a few crafts I wanted to make.  It is starting to feel like Fall is headed our way so I was looking for something fallish. I guess I have to come to terms with the fact that summer is almost over. Also, since I can't have a full on "girls" craft night without the baby girl around I wanted a craft that would be a little easier for me to handle. So I headed down to Orem to check out Crafty Wood Cutouts.

Do you ever dread going into a craft store? Well I do. I have a two year old!! I know I am going to have to chase her around and just try to prevent her from touching everything or breaking something. THANK GOODNESS for Crafty Wood Cutout's Kids corner- a room with toys & a movie playing to distract my little one so that I could somewhat peacefully pick out my craft. At the store they have all of their fall and Halloween crafts out. Um Halloween? Still feels forever away BUT as soon as I saw the Halloween banner I fell in love. At the store they have everything you ever need to make the craft. As soon as I had all of my supplies I headed up to Nicole's house for some crafting!

For this craft I used: The cutest Halloween paper ever (CWC), black craft paint, mod podge, vinyl, 14 banner blocks, wire, & black raffia

First we traced out our banner blocks onto the paper.

Then cut them out. I did get some really cute black Halloween paper but we decided that the vinyl letters wouldn't show up on it. Note to self: Don't pick out black paper to but black letters on.

Next step: Paint your banner blocks. No sanding required- yahoo!

Put a little bit of mod podge down on the block, set the cut out paper on and put a thin layer of mod podge on top of the paper. Let it dry.

While you are waiting for all of the banner blocks to dry now is a perfect time to grab a snack. If you need one. Just don't let your sister in law talk you into trying her favorite Dutch licorice. Dubbelzout - translation=double salt. These were NASTY. Put one in my mouth and gagged, then she tried telling me to keep chewing, it gets better, nope! It just gets worse.

After you have washed your mouth out from the nasty licorice you just tried the blocks should be dry and ready to put the vinyl on. Seriously, this part is so easy if you know how to use a sticker or a bandaid.
I like to use a credit card - or in this case my library card- to push down the vinyl to make sure there are no air bubbles and that it sticks! I did have a problem where the vinyl wasn't really sticking to my glitter paper so I just painted mod podge over those ones- problem solved!

After all the letters were on we put the wire through. We used a small dowel to curl the ends.

Oh my gosh. I was so thrilled with how it turned out. Is it too soon to start putting out my Halloween decorations? My Mother in Law loved it so much she is going to go get her own to make as well. If I was nicer I would have given it to her. Sorry! I'm too in love with it for me to be giving it away.

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out and how simple it was to make.

Hunter's Widow

As of yesterday at about noon I officially became a "Hunter's Widow". If your husband is a hunter you know what I am talking about. As soon as hunting season starts, all of a sudden hubby is no where to be seen. Yep, off to campingville he went. We usually go every year and I go camping with him for a week. This year he is going to be gone EXTRA long because he drew out for a special/once in a lifetime {BIG daddy} Bull Elk tag. Love you Hubby, but there is NO WAY I am camping for 3 1/2 weeks. I love to camp and I usually like to go out hiking with him but talking Mia out hiking is out of the question. She would scare all the Elk away!   I will be meeting up with him next week though. In the meanwhile I have to find ways to spend my days & nights as a hunters widow.

While he is gone I will:

Not be doing alot of cooking but probably eating a lot of Tomato sandwiches. It's hard cook for just me & a baby

Shopping, shopping, shopping. Found these shoes yesterday for only 14.99. LOVE
DIYing. I have a few crafts up my sleeve.

Watching Lifetime movies. Who doesn't love a good cheesy, sleazy, crazy Liftetime movie?

And on my list to do:
Pedicure
Craft Night
Farmers Market

I've got to keep busy so I don't think about how much I miss the hubby! Is anyone else a hunter's widow? How do you pass the time while your hubby is away hunting?

XOXO,
Whitney
Happy Go Lucky
