I bought the supplies to make a spring wreath almost a month ago. I started working on it immediately and then it came to a halt. When I would get a chance to work on the wreath it would be about 9pm and by that time I was completely exhausted from the day and just wanted to relax and hang out with my hubby. Yesterday Mia took an unexpected nap so I had about an hour and a half to finish up the wreath. So glad I did because I still had my St. Patrick's day wreath hanging up (oops). I used mustard color yarn, a few cream felt flowers I had lying around, turquoise felt, and some patterned felt I found at Hobby Lobby. I had not seen patterned felt before and as soon as I saw it I just HAD to buy some.
It feels so much better to have this wreath hanging up and now I can leave it on the door any time of the year. Now I just need to put my Easter decorations away and put some Spring decorations up....just maybe.

Thursday Tid+Bits
1. Today I am officially 31 weeks and beginning my 8th month of pregnancy. Baby boy is all over the place and literally never stops moving. It is starting to get harder to bend over and my energy level is not quite what it was a few weeks ago. Oh and my happy moment of the day was when I found out that I only gained 1lb within this last month. Yay, because getting on the scale at my dr's appointments are my least favorite part.
2. Finally went and got my hair done today. It had been far too long and I was really in need of a cut+color. I have the best hairstylist in the world who also happens to be one of my BFF's since 7th grade. Still went with the ombre but just lightened up my ends a little more. This is definitely the longest my hair has EVER been.
3. Over the weekend I bought two double strollers and I am so excited for hubby to put them together and start using them. Mostly excited for my new jogging stroller so that I can get back into running. I haven't been able to run for the last 3 weeks because it hurts to bad and the elliptical is starting to get a little boring but I know it is all for a good reason! :)

Read: Hush, Hush series
My favorite thing about my ipad is the Kindle app. I love being able to read books on it and take it with me on the go. There is less waiting for holds at the library and more reading to be done! I can read in the car even when it is dark or late at night in my bed. Lately I have been hooked on the Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick. It is about a young girl who falls in love with a fallen angel. I love it because it is an entire new set of characters than what I am used to and it is different from anything I have read lately, no silly love triangle either! I am currently on the fourth and final book of the series. Let's just say I haven't been able to put these books down and I got my aunt hooked on them as well. If you are looking for a new series I highly recommend this one.
Check it out!

Kinderdijk
of them are still lived in and being used. It's definitely windy there..
obviously why they built windmills there. It is a definite stop when
you are in Amsterdam.

Thursday Tidbits
Lately I just have not had the energy to blog. Mia doesn't let me get on the computer so if I blog it is only for a few seconds because she is climbing all over me. Toddler climbing on me + growing baby bump = no blogging for me. Here are a few tidbits I have been up to lately:
1. Growing baby bump. I am now 30 weeks. Yay! Only 8-10 weeks left of this until we get to meet our baby boy.
2. T-Mobile finally got the iphone so on Friday me and my Hubby went and bought ourselves one. Feels so good to finally jump on the bandwagon. Can I just say it was love at first tap of the button??? Any suggestions on apps that I must have would be fantastic.
4. Also, pregnancy hormones are in full effect. Sometimes I feel like this saying is so fitting:
I promise I will get better at blogging. Maybe even post a recipe in a day or so? Ha, we'll see about that.

Speaking of rings........
There is a reason we've been 5 days hiatus.
I'm getting married!
I feel like I've told the proposal story at least 87 already,
but I'm willing to make it 88 for all you readers.
I'll warn you though, it's long... so prepare now...
or just read the last paragraph.
So It all started Thursday night when I was at school that night when I got a text from my man chris breezy (family joke). continuing. It read "So I sent you a late birthday present in the mail a few days ago, but change of plans I want to be there when you open it." If you think my face went bright red and that I had a grin on from ear to ear you'd be right. I was completely freaking out mixed with a little nervousness. I knew this meant it (the proposal) would happen this weekend, how and when was a little foggy at this point still. continuing. The family was all gone Thursday night so I knew it wouldn't be then so as we played ping pong that night I was without worry. At the end of the night we made plans for dinner the next night (friday) at six. He seemed pretty casual as to the plans so I wasn't reading into it much, although I figured he wouldn't do it saturday then fly out sunday morning because that would just be lame. continuing. Friday came and I was getting caught up on homework when the mail came. I went out to the mailbox to find the package Chris Breezy had told me about. Now you must know Chris Breezy obviously lives out of state so when we talked about getting married officially and picking out a ring I would always joke that I didn't want there to be a crowd, I didn't want it to be on temple square, and that he could just send it in the mail so he wouldn't have to be inconvenienced with a proposal. Obviously I was joking about the mail thing. But when I saw the package I began to think Chris Breezy was craycray. You don't send a ring in the mail. Or do you? Let me just say I got that package and inside I could feel something that was most definitely in the shape of a ring box. I freaked, texted him, and said can I just open it. He responded with "up to you.... but you should probably just wait till dinner." The kid knows me like a book and knows I love to open present and packages, so he had to be thinking I'd open it. Which made for a good enough reason for me to not open it and wait. continuing. He came and picked me up and told me we were going to city creek. We drove by the conference center and parked on the back side of it. which I thought was weird but whatevs. So as we walked along the east side of the conference center he told me he wanted to go this way which was walking on the conference grounds. UM hello chris breezy did you not here me tell you I didn't want watchers for this big moment. I was smiling through my agony and he could feel it. So we walked up the stairs to the roof of the conference center and he told me to open the package. I started and opened it up to see a ring box and I kind of gave him a laugh that was a bit like a laugh you do just in case this is real and you need to be happy but it also gets the point across you aren't happy about this as well. He could read all the emotions I was having and just kept watching me with a grin. Low and behold inside the box was a GIFTCARD to the cheesecake factory. Funny Chris. real funny. But really it was quite relieving. We went to dinner, not at cheesecake cause it was packed, but nonetheless we had dinner and I completely forgot the whole idea of him proposing tonight until he said as we walked out from dinner that we had one more place to go. Obviously I knew at this point it was coming.
We got in the car and started driving up to the avenues where we went to city creek canyon and looked out over the city where we had no one to watch us! We had a good chat which after he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, oh how I love that kid. Now here we are. I'm engaged! The countdown begins and now the blog will get an overload of wedding updates, plans, breakdowns and more.
andddd did I mention another countdown begins... it's the one where I move to Wisconsin with Chris Breezy....AHH!

Panic
I just experienced a moment of terrible panic. You know, the kind of panic you can feel where you are so sick to your stomach that you think you might vomit, are shaking like crazy, heart is pumping out of your chest and tears are filling up your eyes.
So far today was fairly normal. I went to the gym, cleaned the house and then hopped in the shower. I always take my wedding ring off after I shower and set it on the counter so that I don't get lotion all in it. I almost always put it on right after lathering up. Today I forgot to put it right back on and continued on about my day. I made lunch and then Mia and I headed to Wally world to do some grocery shopping.
While at the store my hand felt a little naked. I looked down at my ring finger and sure enough I had forgotten to put my ring back on. When I got home from the store I put the groceries away, threw in a load of laundry and watched Mia while she played outside. After seeing about 3 tiny little ants she freaked out and wanted to come inside. That is when I remembered I still needed to put my ring back on. So I went into my bathroom and it wasn't there on the counter. AHHHHH. Sheer Panic. I started looking everywhere in my bathroom, in the laundry, retracing my steps. I knew that I didn't move it anywhere so then my next awful thought was maybe Mia took it and if so it would probably never be found again. Yikes. I called my hubby and he said he would come home soon to help me look.
I kept thinking how awful this was. I am in love with my wedding ring. Still to this day I stare at it and all of it's beauty. It is not only beautiful but it means so much to me. It stands for the vow that I made to my husband more than 5 years ago to always be faithful and love him for all eternity. I decided to say a little prayer, and then another one. I kept looking and started literally scouring the carpets on my hands and knees when all of a sudden I saw something shiny on the floor of my closet. Hallelujah. It found it!!! Oh, such a miracle. Let's just say my wedding ring won't be coming off of my finger any time soon- I never want to go through that again.
Hopefully now I can relax a little.

Dreaming of Spring
Because today I woke up to windy, cold and snowy conditions... I am dreaming of spring. Wishing I could wear my comfy maternity capris today but not able to or else I might freeze. Running errands without a jacket on and freezing my butt off. No jackets to fit this (almost) 29 week belly- bummer. Because Nicole is in the Netherlands looking at Spring Tulips and all I want is SPRING.... looking at this picture of my sweet Mia will have to do today.

28 weeks BUMPdate
Today I am 28 weeks along. Last week marked my first week of my LAST trimester. (woot) Sometimes it feels as if this pregnancy is just flying by and some nights I am uncomfortable and more than ready to be done! Baby boy is SO active and is moving all of the time, especially at night or early in the morning. He seems to have a particular fondness for kicking me in the ribs and really taking me by surprise. My belly just keeps growing like crazy so I finally decided to get myself some cute maternity capris. Up until now I have been wearing leggings/jeggings which are still great but at the end of the day the band starts to hurt my belly. I guess I have been in slight denial that I would need maternity clothes but oh man they are so much more comfortable! Thanks to Ross for having the best priced maternity clothes that are also so cute. I scored this chambray striped maternity top that I just love!
And since my hubby was snapping baby bump photos of me, Mia had to have a turn at getting her picture taken. Love her choice of pose, lifted knee and all.

eva's
eva's bakery is the cutest little bakery in town. The bright blue is captivating as you drive along main street. The inside is just as fresh looking as the outside. As soon as I walked in I knew I wanted to buy anything and everything they had and I hadn't even look at any pastries yet. Well I wasn't the least bit surprised when I saw the pastries and couldn't decide on just one to order, not to mention we wanted the fresh bread we saw in baskets on the wall. It all looked so perfect. Dinning in looked amaze, but we were in a rush so we finally decided on two pastries and some sourdough bread. I went for the Coconut macaroon and mother went with the blueberry danish. They were to die for. That coconut was perfection. As we were paying pastries were still in sight and we both kept saying "ohh that looks good, next time." I cannot wait to go back and give the rest a try. We've also been using the bread to bake open face toasted sandwiches with smoked turkey, cheese and avocados. Delish, that bread is just right.
