That one time when I used to blog

Oh ya. I have a blog. Remember that? It's not that I don't want to blog but once you miss a few days, a few days turns into weeks and time starts flying by. Let's be honest. I've been spending every waking minute with my little girl and also making a baby. It's exhausting now that I am in my third trimester. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and will then start going to my doctor for weekly visits. WOW! I am ready to be done with this pregnancy but am not sure if I am ready for a baby to come. Here are some things I have been up to lately:

1. Turning 34 weeks. (Last week, I will be 35 weeks tomorrow). My belly feels so stretched at this point and I have been experiencing some Braxton Hicks, not terrible though.
 2. Attending Mia's first ever dance competition. Her team took 1st in her category. (There were 8 in her category) I was definitely a happy momma watching her dance. Her face was lit up and she was having the time of her life.

3. Watching the hubby play in his work softball league. Mia was cheering him on the entire time saying, "Go Daddy, Yay Daddy, You did it Daddy!"

4. Went and got a pedicure with my mom and Mia yesterday. It was MUCH needed and I decided to get shellac paint so that I won't have to worry about painting my toes for the next month or so!

I am trying to get everything ready for baby boy to come. Can't believe it but he will be here before I know it!

Friday Letters

Dear Netherlands, I miss you. I miss your pretty streets. I miss the water, canals, and boats. I miss the buildings and cute gables at the top. I miss the wooden shoes. I miss you and it's only been a month. I need to snap out of it. Dear Wedding, You are consuming my thoughts every second I just want it to turn out good. I think I need to start sharing my plans as it goes. Dear Blog, I have been neglecting you and I am ashamed. I think I miss the Netherlands too much and I think I want my wedding to be perfect beyond reason so I naturally put you on the back burner. I promise I'll change.

Baby Boy

Today I had my 33 week appointment. I go again in two weeks and after that every week. Oh my gosh where is the time flying??? I feel like my belly is growing and growing and growing so I pulled up some pictures of when I was pregnant with Mia to compare. Here is a Then and Now:

I hate taking pictures when I am pregnant but they sure are nice to look back on, especially when I want to compare me to myself. I also have been doing some baby boy shopping. I might have gone a little crazy buying some clothes lately but who can resist when they are so dang cute? Also, my mom finished making a car themed minky quilt for baby boy. She is quite amazing and I am so in love with how it turned out. Baby boy is going to love it.

Things are starting to happen and quickly. Baby boys room is going to be a vintage cowboy and indian theme with a quilt my mom made (not quite finished yet), the colors are minty turquoise and red. I originally picked out the fabric 7 years ago before I was even married. I just loved it that much. My mom bought it to keep in stock for when I did have a baby boy. Now 7 years later and I still love it but we are having a hard time finding fabric to match to make a crib skirt and bumper pads. Well after we spent the entire day today searching for fabric to make a crib skirt we finally found the right fabric to match. Hallelujah!! Because baby boy will be here before we know it. I am getting more and more excited for him to get here and can't wait to shower him with love, hugs and lots of kisses.

tulips, but not really.

We wanted so badly to see the tulip fields in full bloom, but it was
just too cold for the tulips when we were there. When in bloom you can
drive through almost a 20 mile stretch of tulip fields. I can only
imagine how beautiful and amazing that would be. Luckily we were able
to settle for a few beautiful Crocus fields.
I guess this just meansanother trip to our beloved Amsterdam!
